12 000 FESTIVALGOERS in 2018 !
1991-2018. Jean-Marie Peterken, the founder of the festival, would smile at the end of this 28th edition of Jazz in Liège. Evenings sold out, 12,000 festival-goers from all over the Euregio in 4 days, jazz taking over the city's major venues, radiant weather, a village adopted by all the people of Liège, and above all a series of super-concerts!
Three fabulous trumpeters (Tom Harrell, Ambrose Akinmusire, Avishai Cohen), an unforgettable guitar evening at La Cité Miroir (Nels Cline, Julian Lage, Marc Ribot), four singers who have a diverse relationship with jazz but share an indisputable talent, and then everything else, the borderline electro, world, rock of Reflektor, blues at Sauvenière, the discoveries of the Halte, and Aka Moon in Urbex or Phil Abraham, some of the best Belgian bands.
Wow ! thanks to all the teams who worked on the festival, room managers, sound engineers, runners, backstage managers... Without them, a festival like this would simply be impossible. Come on, let's go back to 2019 !
MEETING NEXT YEAR from May 16 to 19 !
