Rabih Abou-Khalil & « la Théorie des Cordes »
What a joy it is to welcome back this poet of the oud, a pioneer of musical journeys between East (his native Lebanon!) and West in the mid-1980s! For over forty years, he has stood as a tightrope walker between two worlds, two states of being that nourish his fertile imagination, invoking in his own way the great Zarathustra. And today he returns with “strings” — a constant in his work, of course — but this time alongside two exceptional Polish virtuosos: Mateusz Smoczynski on violin and Krzysztof Lenczowski on cello. Jarrod Cagwin, faithful guardian of the tempo, will anchor the ensemble, for a concert shaped by vitality and perpetual renewal.
Let us dance, laugh, and allow ourselves to be guided by this enchanting, mischievous oud. Without a doubt, Rabih will lead us into his whimsical and endearing world.
