Kamaal Williams aka Henry Wu returns with his third solo album on Black Focus. The virtuoso polymath from London has accomplished a multidisciplinary tour de force, passing through the worlds of jazz, classical music, electronics, art and design. An integral part of the vibrant South London scene, he holds a special place among jazz musicians, rappers and DJs for his style and groove. His jazz is fiery, electric and funky like the Acid Jazz of the 90s. Although he has played in various bands since the mid-2000s, he rose to prominence in 2016 as a member of jazz-funk duo Yussef Kamaal alongside drummer, Yussef Dayes. The duo received praise for their 2016 album, Black Focus. Williams later embarked on a solo career, releasing his 2018 debut album The Return, with a similar kind of fusion. Today, Kamaal Williams embodies the youth, success and power of the new generation of Jazz made in England, The Sound of London!
