Knats

A rising sensation in England, Knats are three musicians from Newcastle who blend jazz, rock and the rhythms of British club culture. On bass, Stan Woodward; on drums, his childhood friend King David Ike-Elechi; on trumpet, Ferg Kilsby. Together, they play a direct, energetic style of jazz they call “Geordie Jazz”.

Following a debut album released in 2025 and shows alongside Theon Cross, Eddie Chacon and Geordie Greep, the trio return in 2026 with “A Great Day In Newcastle”. Produced by Greep, this second record puts their rock and metal influences front and centre, telling stories of life in their hometown with humour and refreshing honesty.

Nominated for the 2026 Mercury Prize, Knats have already built a formidable live reputation. Undoubtedly one of the standout acts of this coming edition! At the Reflektor on Thursday 27 May!
