Uhoda Jazz à Liège – Kids Special: A family event not to be missed
This year, Jazz à Liège is offering a unique experience for youngsters and their families, with an event combining food, music and cinema. The program kicks off at 11:30am with a convivial brunch at Restaurant Olga, offering a warm family moment before joining in with the ciné-concert. The brunch is priced at 45€ for adults and 15€ for children, including the show that follows.
From 1:30pm, head to the Regina Club for a ciné-concert featuring the famous comedy duo Laurel & Hardy. This screening of the short films Double Whoopee, From Soup to Nuts and The Finishing Touch will be accompanied live by five musicians from the Collectif du Lion. These artists, well known on the jazz scene, will reinterpret the burlesque universe of Laurel and Hardy with compositions blending jazz, improvisation and musical humor.
The show is priced at €10 for those choosing the ciné-concert ticket only. Reservations are required before April 27 to take part in this unforgettable event.
The world of Laurel & Hardy, masters of slapstick, is a veritable plunge into the exaggerated humor and comic mimicry that made the reputation of this iconic silent film duo. An ideal way to introduce youngsters to the world of jazz, while enjoying the cinematic legacy of this legendary duo.

The legendary Brazilian trio AZYMUTH will be at JAZZ A LIEGE 2025!
The legendary Brazilian jazz-funk trio AZYMUTH will be at JAZZ A LIEGE 2025 to present their new album, Arabutã.
Pioneers of a groundbreaking sound that fuses jazz-funk and samba to create their unique genre, “samba doido,” Azymuth is one of Brazil’s most influential bands.
Fifty years after their formation, Azymuth has released over thirty albums and continues to perform with the same energy and enthusiasm as in their early days. Their new album, Arabutã, takes its name from the Tupi-Guarani word for the endangered “brazilwood” tree. A symbol of both the value and fragility of Brazil’s natural beauty, Arabutã serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of Indigenous wisdom in ecological preservation.

Success for an edition marked by the seal of diversity!
The festival was indeed a remarkable success this year, with often packed halls and an electric atmosphere in most of them. Our new HQ, the Hôtel de Clercx and its new Regina hall were immediately adopted as the new meeting point of the festival. Witness the warm atmosphere of its concerts and evenings like the traditional Bal Swing! In terms of concerts, the highlights came together, starting with the Johan Dupont Trio at the Trocadéro on Thursday, culminating with a brilliant performance by Lakecia Benjamin at the Reflektor. Other highlights include the mesmerizing performances of the Daniel Garcia Trio, Simone Prattico and Wajdi Rihai at the Cité Miroir, Shabaka at the Trocadéro, Makaya McCraven and Tenderlonious and, in a completely different style, from Jewel Usain to the Reflektor.
We should also mention the exceptional quality of the performances of the Robin Verheyen Trio at the Regina Club, Henri Texier at the Trocadéro and Jazzmea Horn at the Cité Miroir, and of course the two concerts at the Forum of Snarky Puppy and Gogo Penguin. This edition also made us live almost mystical moments of trance and dance thanks to the performances of Leon Phal, Emile Londonien and The Brums at the Regina Club but also of Kamaal Williams at the Reflektor.
The festival was also an opportunity for beautiful discoveries, with promising performances by Maina and Adja aux Chiroux. Apart from the main rooms, the off events at the Dissocle and the Palais des Princes Évêques were also success stories, and there is hope to be able to repeat this experience next year, possibly extending it to other places.
