Musical awakening workshop

2 - 3 pm & 3 - 4 pm

SNACK & BARISTA FROM 3PM TO 5PM

Children aged 3 to 8 (may be accompanied by a parent) - 30 places per session maximum.

A one-hour introduction to the art of music, where play and discovery combine to give children the chance to "experience" music rather than "learn" it.

On the program: aural, rhythmic, vocal, instrumental and physical play activities. This workshop enables young and old alike to discover and use their voice and the world of sound; to experiment with body percussion, rhythm, singing and movement; and to discover musical objects and instruments, followed by a snack. And for older children, a barista activity will be offered by Charles Liégeois.

GribouJazz has set itself a major challenge. To give youngsters a taste for jazz through a concert combining live music, video animation and commentary, all with a resolutely playful approach.

The roots of this musical genre are told through a combination of technical terms and colorful, appealing characters, with the music always having the last word.

The approach is therefore based on the triple correspondence between key concepts, images and music, which are gradually combined, before deploying the magical springs of improvisation and groove in jazz compositions.
