The world-renowned jazz fusion band SNARKY PUPPY is the first headliner of this year's 2024 edition, which will be held from May 3 to 5 in Liège. SNARKY PUPPY will perform on May 3 at the Forum de Liège. Tickets for this concert and the first Passes go on sale on November 24 at 11 a.m. at www.jazzaliege.be
Since its inception in 2004, the Snarky Puppy collective has been seen as a major reference. By popularizing a music that is festive and accessible, yet always highly demanding, the group has turned jazz instrumental music on its head. Their boundless technical skills have also enabled them to add other musical genres, such as funk, soul and world, to their compositions, making audiences dance with irresistible groove.
This first announcement is also an opportunity to introduce our new partner, the group UHODA, who will henceforth lend their name to the UHODA Jazz à Liège Festival!
Jazz represents all music," says Duke Ellington, "and his festival in Liège has been one of the musical events of the year for over thirty years. His music is in harmony with the character of our city, where it already has roots, so it's only natural, and with enthusiasm, that our group has decided to become a full partner," explains Stéphan Uhoda for the Uhoda group.
Stay tuned for further announcements very soon.
